I think this is one of the pitfalls to the dedicated drum modules, the limited internal memory. But with this limitation comes low price. I guess if the modules came with 1 gb of internal memory for storage, if would end up being three or four times the cost. Even with the Dtxtreme IIS module that cost $1000 compared to $350 for the Dxtpress module, you have limited internal memory for storage of songs and samples. So for anything but the simpliest of things, you in most case with need to go with external hardware/software.
