Right then!! Finally cracked it! The only thing missing was to correctly set the MIDI receive channel on the sampler, bob's yer mothers brother it works. This now means that I don't have to cart the whole DTXpress around with my acoustic kit, just can use a few pads. So for all that want to know what I did, here we go; # Assign the individual pads to the correct MIDI note number that correspond with the samples. # Setup a song to record, ensuring that the number of measures matches the amount of samples that are to be triggered. # Record the pads, playing in time to the click, in order of the samples in relation to each other. # Give the song a name, for convenience. # Setup a kit, assigning the recorded song as a 'pad-song' as per instructions in the manual. # Dependant on the amount of 'pad-songs' required set the MIDI receive channel on the sampler device to the relative channel. Thanks for everybody's support (namely liberatusvirus & satyaym for confirming what I was thinking) to this E-Drum newbie, it is very much appreciated. Now.... where that Yamaha A4000 on Ebay!
