G, I agree, there are quite a few drummers involved in the music at their churches. I attend a non denominational church here in north central Indiana. Doctrinal wise I would have to say it is closest to a Southern Baptist service. I have played with them for about 7 or 8 years now. We have a core group consisting of electric guitar, bass, keyboards, drums & 3 part harmonies. The bass player & I also are part of the backup band for a Christian vocalist from the area. Everyone in the band has someone who can fill in for them should there be a conflict in schedules. We play everything from the old hymns to modern up beat Contempory Christian. Some churches have embraced the idea of having a live band to help lead the worship service while others rely on pre-recorded tapes or Cd's as an accompanyment for the vocalist. Joe
