The same as the tom pads - around 8.5" overall diameter, 7" playing
surface.  I am not sure I understand the second part of your question.
 The built in kits come with the rim programmed up for one voice and
the main pad for another voice (and the cross-stick for another
voice).  You can change these if you want and save the kit.
