Hi Mirko,

Welcome to the group. If you want your sequencer to play DTX sounds, 
you have to program it with DTX MIDI note numbers (or actually hit 
the pads) via MIDI OUT from DTX to MIDI IN to your PC/Cubase and play 
them back through the DTX module's tone generator via MIDI OUT from 
your PC and IN to DTX. If you want to hear what you've programmed, 
you have to play it through the DTX audio outs, either speakers or 
headphones. Because nothing on your PC can generate DTX drum tones, 
you can't hear them unless the DTXpress actually plays them; the DTX 
drumkit note numbers will not produce what you intended if played 
back through Battery or any other MIDI program. Playback isn't a 
function of MIDI, only of audio. You can, however, assign each MIDI 
drum note to its own channel (1-16) in the DTX menu system, even if 
you listen to all of the notes together as stereo audio. After you've 
recorded your DTX drums to Cubase with the appropriate note numbers, 
you can edit the results to your heart's content on Cubase.

I've assumed so far that you're recording specific kits on Cubase for 
playback on the DTX.  But you can also use the DTXpress as a pure 
tone generator to access General MIDI (GM) sounds (everthing from 
basoon to xylophone), including drums, so that you can play back a 
wide range of sequenced notes through the DTXpress tone generator. 
The MIDI note numbers for General MIDI purposes are at the back of 
the DTXpress manual somewhere. Using this function requires special 
set up. Consult the manual and/or dtxpressions.com, or search the 
group archives for information about how to access the GM sounds.
