My wife bought a Pintech Concertcast snare for me as a present. (I 
also use the DTXpress II.) I found it to be too big and out of 
proportion for the set. I also found the mesh head to be too 
different from the 'feel' perspective, compared to the rest of the 
pads in the set. I returned the concertcast and went with the Yamaha 
TP100. It is slightly larger than the other pads and has similar 
response. I am very happy with this combination.
