this is one of my setup:
i use a 6 piece pearl masters acoustic (1 bd, snare, toms 12 13 14 16) ---all triggered to the yamaha using ddrums triggers.
All the cymbals, goes to the overhead.
The hi-hats are miked
i also use a yamaha mixer and a qsc plx2402 power amp.
when the kik drum trigger starts acting up.... i switch to the akg kik drum mike.
I use a double pass pedal. it never fails that it blanks out..even with a patch with
the flat side beater.

Hi
Further to my queries about the kick drum, then, is the following
problem the same sort of thing:
I played a gig last night and had problems with the crash cymbal
cutting out quickly, so it didn't really crash, it sounded more like a
high hat tss.
There was a lot of bass around on the stage, and it was also a bouncy
stage .. one of our singers started jumping up and down and I started
to worry about still being able to hit the drums right.
But, I had the same problem at practice a few times .. solid wooden
floor, but still a reasonable level of noise, but it was evening in a
detached house so it wasn't Knebworth.
I've not had the problem at home practicing on headphones.
It doesn't seem to matter how hard I hit it, and it's difficult to
reproduce outside the song.
Also, that crash cymbal, the choke seems to have broken, now when I
try to choke I get another trigger.
So I wonder if my crash is kernackered (shouldn't be, I'd have
expected my snare or hi-hat to go first), or is this down to settings
again, and if so, which setting is our best guess at being the
culprit?
