Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi ya folks

I recently bought a CY-14C (Roland crash v-cymbal) and I've found that there 
is a really strange "vibrating" noise coming from inside the socket housing 
when you strike the cymbal near the edge.

Does anyone know what might be causing it?  Maybe someone has had this occur 
before and managed to fix it?
