Yes, I am using a stereo cable. I was playing with the hihat sensitivity today and found that I was able to reproduce the elusive "third sound" by ramping up the sensitivity. However, I only get it when I'm stomping on the pedal very rapidly, not when I'm hitting the trigger pad with the stick, hoping to find that "halfway open" sound. Am I wrong to assume that there should be 3 sounds, depending on how hard you press the pedal with your foot? Are there actually only two sounds (open and closed) that can be achieved that way?
