No problems at all with my kick pad, except that
the screws on the back need tightening now and then to reduce noise. I've had
the kit for about 2 years (I think!). No gigging, but fairly regular use. It's a
great setup and easily upgradeable if you need to.

Just as a general poll to everybody out there. Of those of you that
already own this kit, How many of you have had problems with the kick
pad, and how long have you owned your DTXpress? I'm not reading about
any other problems with the tom or snare pads, so I'm not as worried
about that. I'm thinking of ordering the kit from my local shop, so
maybe I can just tell the guy to have yamaha ship it to them with the
KP80S instead of the KP60. It would involve an extra charge, but
probably worth it.
