Thanks for the info, Sam ?). Yeah, $19.99 seems to be the going rate for the two plies. Six months isn't too bad at all. I believe that I'm starting to see serious wear in a month. I've been using a Roland CY-6 as a ride; I think it might be better suited as a crash, though I find that setting the input sensitivity switch on the back of the brain to the high position brings out its strong points either way. The Hart EII's are awfully tempting (if only for looks; I've never tried one), but I hear tell that they are backordered everywhere for at least a month. And the line keeps growing as we speak. It might be nice to get a report from inside the group. The fact that the EII16 ride is dual-zone won't sit well with those of us who have used up the 9/10 input already but find it attractive. The call of the double module setup is getting louder all the time. --- In DTXpress@y..., "otacon28us" <reva@s...> wrote: > first off i just replaced 3 of mine on my concertcasts, they lasted me > about 6 months, but i play them alot, and also record alot with them so > i guess i got some great use out of them. now on the question of > replacement heads subs. for the pintech ones i found a few at > musicians friend right now for under $20.00 each here's the links > rolands are $19.99 (i'm assuming that these are double ply heads) > http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid=02040215340020824810812344032 2 > /search/g=home/detail/base_id/37075 > harts dynamics control screen heads are $15.99 (these are just single > ply ones!!) > http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid=02040215340020824810812344032 2 > /search/g=home/detail/base_id/56376 > the hart double plys are $19.99 > http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid=02040215340020824810812344032 2 > /search/g=home/detail/base_id/56379 > then there's the pearl rythym traveler heads for $7.99(these probably > wouldn't be the best choice though for the money difference it's > worth it for the harts or the roland ones!!) > http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid=02040215340020824810812344032 2 > /search/g=home/detail/base_id/45588 > > about the trigger cymbals the only ones i know of besides pintech are > the visualites, and then the hart ecymbals , & ecymbal II'S which are > sweet but pricey.. they should have a better low-mid priced cymbal > out there though(that would be worth using that is!!) > > hope this helps, > otacon28 > > --- In DTXpress@y..., "liberatusvirus" <edtyct@a...> wrote: > > Anybody had one of the woven heads wear out yet?
