Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

The 4 TP60s on the current DTXPRESS (high hat and 3 toms) measure 
just a hair under 8 inches, edge to edge. The TP80S stereo pad that 
now comes standard as the snare measures just a hair over, probably 
to accommodate the rim switch. The TP60 designation is confusing; it 
doesn't indicate 6 inches, only that it is Yamaha's least expensive 
pad. I can't imagine that many beginners will be disappointed with 
the DTXPRESS. You won't have much trouble drawing a bead on the 
individual pads, and you won't dislike what you hear. I've been 
hitting drums for 38 years, and I'm impressed with the kit, 
especially for the price.

On a previous post today, I recommended Midwest Percussion as a site 
to buy the kit. I should add that their price is too low to print. 
Follow their instructions about finding out their discount, and most 
likely you won't be disappointed.
