Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi everyone,

I am looking to upgrade the snare trigger on my DTXPress - I was 
looking at the Roland PD80R as a likely candidate - I prefer the mesh 
head. I was hoping some of you might be able to give me some advice..

- Is this a good idea (mixing mesh head pads with rubber pads)?
- Is the trigger compatible with the DTXPress brain? (full range of 
sensitivity, rim-shot etc..)
- Will the trigger fit onto the DTXPress rack?

Also - if I look to move my existing snare trigger (TP80S) elsewhere -
 is there anywhere I can find an additional arm for the rack?

Alternatively, does anyone have any experience making their own 
triggers?
