Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Think I found the problem...The pad works intermittantly if you 
pull the jack almost all the way out of the stereo jack on the 
cymbal pad.  When I do this I hear the crash, and can tap it and get 
a crash sound.  If the plug is pushed all the way into the cymbal 
pad jack, as it should be, I get NOTHING!  Also, the pad will 
register on the trigger module with the jack pulled out almost all 
the way...think the jack on the cymbal pad is bad...can this be 
fixed, or should I just have the dealer order me a new pad?  Also if 
I jiggle the jack on the bottom of the pad up and down in the outlet 
socket...it connects, and produces a sound...so I think the jack on 
the bottom of the pad has to be the problem.  Any suggestions?
