I wrote my first reply very fast and it came out bass ackward. What I meant to say was that the divided signal through the "Y" might be getting reunited at the input in such a way as to allow only a mono feed. A TRS splitter would ensure that the signals get divided properly into two mono feeds corresponding to inputs 9 and 10.
