Hi Jade, I think, based on your description, I would be looking for something like a bad cable, or something being over modulated - if it turns out that crosstalk is causing a high pitched squeal, it'll be the first time I have seen that! Here's a thought on how you might be able to further isolate it. If you have a pair of open line level outputs on your mixer, and you have at least a half way decent recorder (cassette type would work), try recording while you're playing. When you hear the distortion rewind the tape and see if it is there. If not, then take those headphones out back and nuke 'em! If you do hear it, then try to record from the back of the module. If you hear it there, don't nuke the module, but that at least proves it's not the headphones. There are times I would like to be able to layer the HH, because I don't like the options available as they are, but since we're stuck with one voice, I too live with it. On rejection and sensitivity, take a look at post # 2391, as well as the thread that post # 2572 is part of...
