Hi Nicholas,

Some people have had this type of trouble because of
minute contanimation (belly button lint) between the
rubber pad and the plastic .  I think the fix was to
gently peal back the rubber and clean both it and the
plastic so they're spotless, then put it back
together, but just to be sure, I suggest you search
the posts and find the instructions.  Walt
