Re: [DTXpress] Re: MidiKITI Programming Help...ED...HELP!!

2003-02-18 by jadeiebooshkie

Unfortunately, he was at home when he called me, and
he needed to see the manuel (which was at the
factory)..he's going to look at the manuel tomorrow,
and like I said, call me, probably Thurs. I am sure I
will have to call him, as he will be busy, he told me
he was leaving for Fla for 4 days. He told me not to
worry about the auto train, if I assign a midi note, I
can program it in, or should be able to. He was
limited because he didn't have the manuel or a KITI in
front of him. He also suggested I use preset notes
from the DTX that are assigned to the cymbals.
I may end up having to retrain each pad. Like I said,
I AM getting crosstalk from the tom, but I also am
getting a high pitched bell sound (like a bell you
ring) and Mario wasn't surprised, he had me adjust min
vel and max vel. He said probably ALL the settings
had to be retrained/reprogrammed....what a night mare,
I'm in Midi Hell!! This is a whole new game for me,
each pad will have to be reset to max strike/min
strike...which in effect means anything plugged into
the KITI will be an involved process.
I really wonder if most of our problems, as well as my
ignorance, has to do with the unknown settings of the
KITI...WHO knows what it's set for before I got it, ya
know?
In the meantime, I will be asking God for some serious
enlightenment...and THAT'S no joke!!:)
I really won't get a chance to work on it much before
Thursday, as I have to be out of town most of the day
on Wed. If I get back early enough, I will work on
the settings again.
