Hi Vern, That's good news, 'cause it means at least the xpress II works. We've got two different scenerios. The first is a MIDI Kiti that's not triggering anything, andf the second is a PM-16. We have both working on DTXpress kits in other places. Since the PM-16 is the most basic, what we've done on that one is to set up an input to trigger a cymbal on rgw DTXpress. We've set a note number on the PM-16 (tried 13 & 15), both on channel 10. In the drum map we made sure the symbal sound was applied to those nptes, but nothing. In this case the PM-16 is displaying a patch number of 84, which we're trying to compare with a PM-16>DTXpress that is working, to see if they have it to. If, on the PM-16, we change to any other channel, we get w wierd sound that is not a cymbal. The other is Jades MIDI Kiti which doesn't seem to get the handshake it needs from the xpressII to sync up with it. Not being able to determine whether any of these devices was working at all made it difficult to move forward. Now, my keen sense of problem determination (along with my vivid and skewed sense of self importance) tells me that we really need to focus on the PM-16 and the Kiti, and find a way to make sure they are sending the right MIDI messages (on the right channels) to make the xpressII fire. Now, if only we could figure that out...
