There are no stereo hookups on the DM5. You would need to use a stereo adapter for the cymbal to two triggers on the DM5. The HH foot pedal gets hooked up to the FOOTSWITCH input on the very left hand side. Make sure that you have the Footswitch trigger set correctly, not as a switch.
