Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Greetings, all.  Hope is everyone is well, and family is safe if 
overseas.  I've been gone for awhile, but I am back with a question 
that is kind of stupifying me.  I have the pc software Digital 
Orchestrator (not the best, I admit) and I'm running my DTXpress 2 
into it to record my own tracks and mix it up.  I've encountered a 
problem that I can't understand.  I am receiving sound into my pc 
from my module, and it is recording it like its' supposed to, all 
except for the snare and the bass drum.  All cymbals and toms are ok, 
but that's it.  Here's the kicker, and it may shead some clues to the 
problem.  The snare and bass can be heard if I use a pre-defined kit 
in the module, but not a user kit.  Any ideas?  I'm not sure what's 
going on here.  Any help is, as always, appreciated.
