I cross-checked the settings for the ones that actually produce the snare and bass sounds with the ones that do not, and I personally was not able to see a difference between them. This is really confusing me. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about MIDI note numbers and channels and such to really be able to come to a solution to this. Back to task, I guess.
