Re: Missing sounds in my Digital Orchestrator

2003-03-30 by liberatusvirus

Brett,

I'm not sure that I have a handle on everything here, but the DTXPU
used to pre-assign nonstandard midi note numbers for snare and bass,
wreaking havoc with people who wanted to hear them through other
midi devices or programs; snare and kick were liable to come out as
anything, depending on what the numbers represented elsewhere. In
earlier versions, if you adjusted the snare and kick notes to what
your software (Cubase, for example) expected, then everything worked
out fine. I don't know enough about the DTXPIIU to say exactly
what's happening. In your case, if the note numbers for the default
kits appear to work okay (at least sometimes), you might check to
see whether they vary in the user ones.
