Be sure to check out Giles' website. He has a bunch of cool tips and stuff on there. I don't remember his URL, though. I'm sure he could be persuaded to post it again. I think mixing the DTXpress with acoustic drums is a great idea. I played a gig earlier this summer with a friends V-drums as the main kit and I used an Octapad to trigger the DTXpress brain. It worked out very well! Chris On Mon, 14 Aug 2000 DrummerB0ui@... wrote: > Thanks for the welcome to the group. I am addicted to reading all of the postings on your site. I have also looked at the web site before I went to the music store to pick up my DTX set. I know I will be spending my evening putting it together and I am already itching to play my own and not the demo model. > > One thing I have noticed in the 200+ messages that no one is mixing acoustic pieces and parts with the DTX set. My plan is once I get all the sets put together with the sounds that I want I will add in my piccilo snare and various crash and splash cymbals. I have talked with other electronic drummers and all of them have liked the mixture. > > Any comments or reccomendations on set up are appreciated.
