Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi guys,
   Just got a dtxpresII and was having some problems with it, just 
was wondering if you guys have seen/heard the same thing or if it's 
just my kit.

1) I notice that if I hit the snare and the highhat at the same time, 
*sometimes* the highhat does not trigger.  Seems like I could 
reproduce this once every 7-10 times I hit the pads at the same 
time.  It seemed easier when I had one person hit the snare and 
another person hitting the highhat...I've also seen a few instances 
where hitting the crash symbal not triggering when hit.  It's hard to 
reproduce that one tho...I'm wondering if I should take the kit back 
for another one, as I've heard the dtxpressII was known for rarey 
having any mishits like the ones I've described above.

2) This is a more general question...First, I have NEVER played drums 
before...But in songs, I often hear that extended "ssssssssssst" 
sound.  Sounds almost like the high hat closing.  Is there a way to 
duplicate that on the dtpxressII?  Right now, my settings for the 
highhat are at default and really doesn't have any "oomph" when I 
stomp on it's pedal...

Besides that, I'm loving this machine...;)
