Idea #1 Angle the pad down a bit more so you are not inadvertently hitting the edge of the cymbal pad with the shaft of the stick. Man this is hard stuff to describe. We need a video confernece! :) What I mean is if you tend to "slide" the stick tip or shaft down the pad after a hit it can cause a choke. Does that make sense? Idea #2: If you are not intersted in a choke for your performance, you can just set the pad type to PCY65 (not PCY65S) and I think that will cause the choke to be in-active. A cheat way to do this is to use a mono patch cable for that pad for the duration of the show. Again, this will stop the choke from happeneing even if you *want* a choke, so keep that in mind. > The basic DTXPRESSII comes with a PCY65S for a ride > cymbal that has pad and edge triggering with choking and a PCY65 for > the crash that has pad triggering only. Hey, OGD, I was wondering about this... maybe I set mine up wrong, but I have the "ride" as the PCY65 single zone pad on the far right of my kit and the crash/choke/dual zone OCY65S on the left. I coulda sworn that was how it was in the manual... or maybe I just set mine up wrong... :) Vern
