You're right, that is how it is in the manual. But I have mine set up 
as OGD descibribes, with the 65S as a crash/ride on the right, and 65 
as a crash on the left. It just seems to make more sense that way 
around, with two edge crashes and a ride on the bow.

I have also moved the hi-hat... I actually shifted the module over to 
the right side of the kit (it hangs off the right hand upright above 
the "floor" tom arm), and moved the hi-hat to the arm previously used 
for the module. Apart from anything else, I just found it easier to 
position to my satisfaction that way around.
