Anyone using the "TO HOST" connection to their computer?

2003-10-23 by zapaxe

Hi,

Anyone using TO HOST connection to a computer?...Using midi better?
Same?

I just started experimenting using midi with my Cubase based
computer DAW.

My Aardvark Q10 audio card has a midi In/out & I'm now
plugging/unplugging my Keyboard & DTX when I want to record either
one with midi...

I just remembered the DTX has a TO HOST connection which if I'm
correct is similar/same to midi.

If I can use the TO HOST with the DTXpress to my Cubase computer,
then using my midi IN/OUT at my sound card, then I won't have to do
a switch.

Also if I'm correct the TO HOST is a TWO WAY connection with one
cord & with midi I need to used two cables.
But what I'm NOT understanding here is the concept of not using my
sound card as a way of connection to the DTXpress?

And also, where do I get this TO HOST connector/cable?

Clue me in here?

Thanks, Steve
