Jay, When I started playing the rubber pads, my fingers blistered a lot. But since I primarily use match grip, my middle finger wasn't affected much. It would stand to reason that the middle finger on the left hand would suffer on rubber with a traditional grip. One benefit of playing meshes, besides the relative lack of noise, is that it's easier on your joints and skin. But you'll still need to change those blister points into callouses and play regularly to keep them that way. Ed
