It has sixteen inputs, all mono. Run a search on it on the archives for more information. If you do, you'll notice that problems with its use, and that of Kat's MIDIkiti, provided the occasion for us to discover the DTXpressII module's bug that prevented external MIDI devices from operating correctly. You'll be able to feel Walt's and my frustration; we tried everything under the sun to solve the problems that people were having, until Yamaha came up with an answer. That's why we recommend that those who purchase the XpressII module immediately do a factory reset; it cures the bug. Ed
