Frank, There are no "dumb questions" when it comes to fulfilling
your son's dreams and ambitions. I cheated when I was his age: I
beat holes in my Dad's bar stools with screw drivers listening to
the Beatles...He bought me a set of drums. From that moment on, as I
progressed and joined a band, he ALWAYS supported me- even let us
practice in his basement, drove us to gigs, waited and waited for us
to finish and pack up. I know he didn't like the "noise", I know he
feared the drugs and alcohol..He probably didn't even like the
music..BUT he was always there in support of a little drummer with
big eyes and high hopes but very little experience or common sense.
I just lost that tower of encouragement, and as I think of him, I
remember his undaunting support that probably started with a
few "dumb questions". Keep them coming,Frank, you are already his
hero!
