IS Roland a Japanese > company? Hi Jon, Mixing brands is a wonderful idea--when it works, and it usually does. But Yamaha modules are the toughest match in captivity for alternative-brand components. Roland pads are generally okay with the Yamaha module, but trying before buying is recommended, unless people at this forum, or others, can endorse the product in question. I assume that your Roland is a mesh head. Most likely you can find a pad type in the trigger menu for it (maybe DT10/20). Ed
