It appears you have decided, I hope it works out... but for what it's worth I had brought my DR5 "rythm machine" to my buddies with the truth monitors and hooked them up real ghetto (headphone out straight to the back of the monitors) I must say it was loud enough for that... BUT I was looking at them for using with the drum machine NOT a E-Drum kit! They definately had punch and the low end seemed to be there and it was pretty loud and more importantly clear. BUT I wasn't thinking E-drums and I can't recall what they would be like with the E-drums... but you definately don't want to be transporting studio monitors for a live gig! so if you need that I would go with something that can get bumped around with out you biting your lip everytime! If you are starting to second guess yourself and have a couple of weeks, when I get my kit in.. should be next week.. I will borrow those monitors and jam through them and see.. I'll even hook up bass and guitar through my 1202 to see how much they can take in a "jamming" enviroment.
