I had a similar problem running a stereo lead from two pads into 9 /10 via a
splitter.

The 'Y' splitter was faulty. try another cable ...

Yeah, played with the cable seating, but the result is identical.  It is the
stereo cable included with the BP80.  Even at factory rejection settings for
9&10 (worthless, by the way), I do get independent triggers with extremely
low velocity hits on the two zones of the bar pad.
