not receiving midi in!!

not receiving midi in!!

2001-04-20 by Mark Bates

hi, new to the group just bought my dtxpress on wednesday.

My problem is i can get midi to Logic Audio Platinum, and I can get
midi back to my DTXPress, but some reason the only sound I can get
from dtx when i play back is the basic midi sounds, and not the drum
sounds, and when i send the data out through channel 10, it's
completely mute. nothing.

can anybody help me with this? it's really annoying and i'd like to
be able to use the sounds from my dtx. thanks in advance.

I think that one of the reasons why you only hear basic midi sounds is that your drum map are badly configure. You must use the standard GM drums map in your own kit. Try this: http://www.edrumweb.com/Articles/midi-map.html
And maybe you will hear something when receiving data.(the midi notes received must square with each midi note of your kit in order to hear the sound you want).
(don't forget to unplugged the channel 10 mute option, push shift+page up)

Thanks for the help. I managed to get it working by just resetting
the unit. I must have screwed with something at some point.
