2-layer voices - message "# in use"

2-layer voices - message "# in use"

2005-03-02 by bongokonzelmann

Hi folks,

when setting the voice parameter for 2-layer voices in the DTXP III I
got the message "# in use". Can somebody explain to me how this comes
and how to avoid.

Thanks in advance

Bongo,

Some of the voices on the DTXpress are already composed of two
layers; you can't add another layer to them. That might be what's
happening.

This is when the same midi note is used for two inputs. When this is
done, some of the editable settings cannot be adjusted and thus you
get the

KIT IN=kick
(Note# in use)

This is somewhat described on page 43 of the Dtxpress II manual under
Input Common Parameters.

I just looked in the III manual (Drum Trigger Module Reference Guide)
and it shows up on page 20.
