looking for a good kick

looking for a good kick

Has anyone ever changed the kick pad for a better dynamic, response, and a
less
noisy kick as suggested Tom?

Well if you want a really good kick trigger, and don;t mind spending
money. You can get a Pintech CKV bass trigger. It rocks, its just
like hitting a normal acoustic bass drum. The one down from that is
also good, called the Vk-10 its a lot less noisy and even nicely
folds down so it can lie perfectly flat and it has a big strinkign
area for double bass drum pedal. The response is also good ,and never
misses triggers, which was one annoyance I foudn with the awful
yamaha one, they really shoudl redesign it, its a big failure of a
good kit.

Hi.

Yes they did. What I hear the Pintech Concercast is THE ultimate
combination, so I'm giong for the kick at least!

Regards.

Tom

Re: looking for a good kick - CHEAP!

2001-08-02 by addictionking@yahoo.com

I just bought a mesh head for my 22" kick drum (Pearl sells them
singly as replacements for their Rhythm Traveler kit) and a Pintech
trigger...total was about $35. Plugged the trigger into the DTXPress
and I was up & running in about 5 minutes! Works like a charm! Feels
natural and is positively quiet! It works so well, I'm planning on
getting the rest of my acoustic kit set up with the mesh heads &
triggers!

Thanks for your help, but could you describe more precisely what you
buy(give me addresses for example or equivalent products)? Because I am
French and I think that I can't find in France the same products. Thanks.

Sure Vivien.
Here's the listing for the mesh head and drum trigger from
www.musiciansfriend.com:

the Pearl mesh bass drum head:

I hope this helps!
