Switching to DTXpress III Special kit from a Roland V-tour kit

I played a Yamaha DTXpress 3 Special kit today and loved the hi-hat, crash, and ride sounds in it, much better than the in my current Roland TD-6V module and I love the pads too. Only thing is the two dual trigger and 3 way ride cymbal pads chokable like the Roland CY-8 and V-cymbals. The kick, snare, toms sound just like the ones in my TD- 6, just like the cymbals samples(voices) and pads better than the ones in my TD-6V module and the CY-8 pads. I am just concerned if the dual crash and 3 way ride is chokable, becaue I tried choking it today at the store and they wouldn't choke at all(the dual crash and ride)not the sigle crash pad. Is the DTXpress 3 Special better than the Roland V-tour kit? Or should I just get the DTXpress module and cymbal pads, and hihat and use my PD-6 and PD-80R, KD-8 with the DTXpress III module or will this pads not work with the DTXpress III module. Can any one help me.
