New Member - DTXPress II Questions

Hi..long time drummer, somewhat longtime DTX owner (bout 3 years).
Recentley my 3-zone snare has stopped triggering everything but the
main trigger sound..not sure why. Would this be a trigger malfunction
or a setting? The main trigger sound works perfect everytime. Also
when I plug a cable (stereo cable) into the jac I can hear the other
sounds...but not when I play :( Both of the other triggers stopped
working at the same time.

I would appreciate anyones help :)

Hi Blake,

The problem could have either cause. If for some reason your trigger
settings had changed to a mono pad, or your rim sounds had been erased
in the voice menu, you'd lose the two switch sounds. It seems,
however, that the pad has a proper setting, since when the cable
shorts at the input, you catch a glimmer of the rims. Have you tried a
another cable, or even another stereo pad (two sounds instead of
three) to see whether at least one of the sounds comes back? It would
e great if only a cable were at fault. If a stereo pad gives you two
sounds, then something is amiss with the original pad.

Thanks for your help Ed..I tried what you said and also what Old Guy
Drummer said over on the DTXperience forums. I think I just have a
faulty snare :( My warranty is way out too. Thanks again for the help.
