If it is still under warranty you may want to return it. If you are like me, I took mine apart the first week I got it just to see how it worked. There are photos in the archive section here that I took of the inside of the RHH. It works very similar to the HH65 pedal, except they just moved the rubber rocker with the ridges that make contact with the sensor strip up into the bottom of the RHH pad. They also added one more ridge and sensor section on the ribbon inside. If you open it up you can manually press down on the rubber rocker at each stage and see if you are getting any thing different. I noticed that with one of my older HH65's that the rubber rocker had stretched, thus was always in contact with the first sensor strip. Since the HH65 calibrates each time you turn on the module, it was getting a bad reading and did not give the full range of motion. Hence, this is why they tell you not to press down on the HH65 when you are turning on the module. There may just be something stray that broke off in shipment (this was a problem with the very first shipment, but most I believe were fixed at Yamaha's distribution center in Chicago prior to shipping to retail outlets.) Wolfgang, Unless someone else can shed any light on this problem, I would suggest maybe you have a faulty HH controller. I don't know how the RHH works, but the HH pedal progressively shorts out the resistors to give the final values (it actually consists of 150k, 10k, 47k & 150k resistors in series). Maybe you should return it as faulty?
