TP65S repair or renew

TP65S repair or renew

2006-12-04 by Paul

Hi,

My TP65S pad that I use as a snare is starting to fail and is out of
warranty. Both of the rim sounds work OK but the main pad sound is
intermittant. Does anyone know if it is possible/worth reapiring?

If not I was thinking of upgrading to a TP100 as I've seen on previous
messages that this is a better pad. Will this fit onto the rack in the
same way as the TP65S or will I need a different mounting?

Thanks

Paul

Paul,

I don't know if it is worth repairing, but it is certainly worthwhile
taking it apart to see if it's just a bad connection.

I use the TP100 for my snare. I have not tried to fit it on the rack
- I use a separate snare stand. That is one of the advantages - no
crosstalk and more freedom of positioning.

Keith.

I bought and currently use a TP-100 for the snare on my DTXpressII.
I use it on the rack the same as the TP65S with absolutely no cross
talk issues. I've never made any type of 'adjustment', it just works!
