Hello, I upgraded my dtxpress module to the Dm pro about 6 months ago. All the pads work fine except for the Hi hat. I ended up purchasing the Roland Hi hat instead. Hello Paul Thanks for the info, I did some digging and spoke with also found out as per Ed at Drumbalaya: "The Yamaha HH60 pedal CAN be made to work with the DM-Pro, but it does require a stereo to mono adapter as was theorized in the vdrums user group. I would recommend you use one of the "Y" adapters that MusiciansFriend.com has which are probably available at a Guitar Center store if you have one near you.I think the cheapest would be to go with a short "Y" cable on the pedal and then a mono cable from the "ring" output of the adapter (probably the "right" channel output) to the DM-Pro. The trick is to take the signal from the "ring" side of the stereo jack off the pedal and get it to the brain's pedal input." So I think I maay not need to get a new pedal.. May be.. Have you had any difficulty working with the DM Pro compared to the Yamaha set? Thanks Daniel --- In DTXpress@y..., Polawee Unchalipongse <polawee@y...> wrote:

Hello,
Thanks for the info. I guess I should have asked
around before I bought the roland pedal. But, I was
able to get a deal on it off of ebay.
In reguards to the DM pro, well I haven't had much
time to get into the nitty gritty settings for the DM
pro. But, so far I have had no problems with it using
my DTXpress pads with it. In comparison to the
DXTpress, the dmpro is by far a much more powerful
drum machine. The big seller for me was that I wanted
to be able to sample my own sounds (via memory card).
I would say the DTXPress module is a very good all
around drum machine. The DMpro caters to a more
sophisticated proffesional type users. Just a couple
things I have noticed are: Good: 1) much more
realistic sounding drums 2) much better volume
control 3) better midi capabilities and settings ---
Bad: 1)more complex sometimes difficult to use
interface 2) crappy manual.
