DTXPRESS II Battery

DTXPRESS II Battery

2010-04-03 by martin.faherty@btinternet.com

Hi

I have found the post #3133 on replacing the battery and so followed the instructions and have found no battery, hence the Warning Message Low Battery.

So I can see the battery is FDK but thats about it. Have already tried a CR2032.

Please help ;-)

Thanks, Martin

Martin,

Hmm. So you have a DTXpress (I, II, III?) with no battery? Have you bought it second hand? If you have tried a RC2032, have you put it the right way round?

Some products can take a few minutes to recognise a replacement battery - it takes a while to charge up internal capacitors.

A bit more history would be useful.

Martin,

Sorry, missed the DTXpress II in the subject (damn mobiles). The other questions still apply.

Hi Keith

I did try the CR2032 and it did'nt fit.

Basically, I changed my DTXPlorer module for a DTXExpress II through EBay and was assured the module was tested before being put to sale (the seller was a registered business user!)

Obviously this was not the case.

I managed to find the previous posting on this fantasic site which included everthing apart from the battery part number. (i.e. instructions and photos)

Do you happen to know the part number for the replacement battery for a DTXEpress II?

Many thanks, Martin

Martin,

OK, I just ripped my DTXpress III apart! It's a CR2450.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
