Are Pintech Cymbals any good??

Are Pintech Cymbals any good??

2002-04-17 by debby22

I'm considering purchasing two Pintech cymbals via the Internet and
was wanting to hear from someone who is or has used them. Are they
better or worse than the PCY60 cymbals that came with my DTXpress.
One of my PCY60s has quit working right.

Thanks!!!

In my experience, Pintech cymbals do not track particularly well,
and they have a tendency to choke themselves. You might be able find
a use for them as crashes, if you're not too picky, but they don't
seem cut out to be rides. This is definitely a case of getting what
you pay for. The more cymbals I try, the more I appreciate the
Yamahas. But Hart and Visu-lite are mid-price options.

Hi Debby

I got a pintech shipped to New Zealand from the USA and was very
disapointed. It was very loud when struck and the triggering was
almost random.

I would not recommend it. You get what you pay for and they are too
cheap to be good.
