Anyone know where to order SilenTrim rim silencers from pintech?
I can't find anyone that carries them, but they are supposed to
be "available" accessories for the pintech 10" edrums...

HEre is all I could find on it... It automatically comes with the
more expensive silentech drums...

SilenTrim
This black rubber rim silencer is now available as an accessory to
help reduce audible rim shot noise on professional 10" pads! Easily
replaceable if worn!

ST-A SilenTrim MSRP $8.00 USd ea.

I tried searching on the part number and still nothing came up...

I don't know where you can get the SilenTrim, but... I had read in a
previous post somewhere that someone had purchased vacume hose from
an autoparts store, cut it on one side and slipped it over the rim
edge. Apparently it worked out well. I will be trying this when the
rim trim on my drum wears out.

Good Luck,

Cary

hello, i'm not sure if you were replying about my post that i had
posted sometime back about my own version of rim silencers that i
made for my pintech pads, but yes i had made some of these rim
silencers for my pads using 3/8 i.d.(inside diameter) fuel line that
i purchased from my local auto parts store, what i did was make an
incision on one side of the hose so i would be able to slide it over
the rim,and then place it back on my concertcast, then after i had an
incision in the hose the length that would circumfrence the whole
rim,i cut the hose to size, then slid it over the rim,and where the
seam is i made a few wraps with black electrical tape, and you don't
really even notice it's there.. i made these silencers last year, and
still have yet to replace one,and i think it costed me about a little
over $2.00 a rim to do this, because they sell the hose by the ft.you
can get as much as you would need to make different lengths if
needed. i needed 6 for my concertcast pads, and then one for my
pintech ax-14 snare..speaking of snares this is when they are really
great for on a dual zone snare pad,so you can get the rim
shots ,without all of the noise of the stick contacting the bare
metal rim... check the pics out in this group to see what these rim
silencers look like when they're on the pintech pads..

hope this helps,
          sam(otacon28)

majestic14, the other place you could try is Drumbalaya - Ed or
Charlotte should be able to get it from Pintech with the part number.
I didn't see it their list of Pintech stuff, but they have a link at
the bottom of the page to request items they don't have - go for it!

Actually, Pintech stopped carrying it because they said, and I
quote, "customers found it to be cheaper in auto part stores" -- I
guess it was like window trim or something.

I have been getting some of this material from Hart Dynamics as I
like what they have been using on their drums. We have some in
stock if folks are interested (by the foot).
