Just bought a new DTXPRESS

Just bought a new DTXPRESS

2002-11-29 by bastack2002

Hi There,

I have just bought a DTXpress kit and I love it! I have not even got
close to exploring all of it but I have one question that I hopt
someone can answer for me.

I bought a good set of Headphones (Sony Eur 85) and when I plug them
into the Brain and play I find the volume to be quite low! When I am
doing some hi-hat work I can here the sticks hitting the pad quite
clear! Does any body know how to increase the volume through the
headphones so I can not hear the pads being hit?

By the way I have the volume on the Brain at full!

Thanks

Brian from Ireland.

Hi Brian, congrats on the kit!

In the UTIL menu you can set the volume mode to LIVE. This means you can
boost the volume of parts of the kit.

Take a look at http://www.thehearns.fsnet.co.uk/dtxpressions/ and look at
point 4 of the tips and tricks page!

When you but headphones, make sure you get the ones with the LOWEST
impedence possible. The ones i use are fairly inexpensive, but a loe
impedence makes them twice as loud as several expensive pairs I've
tried. No trouble hearing drums, and no pad sound leaks thru!!!
