Visu-lite hi hat

Visu-lite hi hat

2003-03-04 by liberatusvirus

Hi all, at long last, Tom Pickard informs us that the Yamaha-
compatible hi-hats will be shipping after March 18. Orders will be
filled on a first come, first serve basis. The Visu-lite website,
however, will not show them for a little while; presumably, if you
want to act fast, you'll have to do so by phone. The Yamaha package--
cymbal triggers and controller attachment--will be the same price as
the Roland-compatible 1300B RHC 100 ($195.95). It will carry the
model description, 1300B YHC 200. Those of you who are not aware of
the Visu-lite hh assembly, the only one on the market that works on
a traditional hh stand, should check it out at the Visu-lite site.
Drumabalya also has begun to carry the complete Visu-lite line of
cymbals. I'm not sure, however, when Drumbalaya will start taking
orders on the hh assembly. When they do, it will probably be drop-
shipped.

My thanks to Tom for taking me up on the proposition about four
months ago and to Walt for helping both of us to see it through.

Ed

Someone knows how to eliminate the sound of the drums when you connect a CD player or MP3 through the AUX connector ??
Thanks.

Hey, David

To my knowledge, and I may be wrong about this one,
but you can't elimate the drums from tracks you listen
to or play along with out of your own recorded CD's,
MP3's, and so on. You can elimate the drums from the
pre-recorded songs in the DTX's memory, and jam to
those, but that's it. If I'm wrong, which I don't
believe I am, maybe Ed, or UNH, or someone else with
more intelligence about this stuff than me can jump in
and give their own 2 cents on it.

I guess this threads topic got changed! :) Anyway, if you even
wanted to this elmination of drums in the background thing, you'd
have to use a computer program, a professional studio recording
piece of software to do it. Then you'd have to have to be able to
seperate all the tracks of the music playing into vocals, guitar,
bass, banjo, and then drums. What I'm trying to say is is, its
gonna be pretty hard to pull off with mp3s or cd audio. The way I
do it is to play through my computer which is connected to my stereo
system and then lower the volume of the mp3/cd audio on the computer
along with raising the volume on my drums so it over powers the
drums in the song. This works really well with headphones, but keep
an eye out for your hearing!

Ummmm...WHAT DID YOU SAY? :) ...On a more serious
note, UNH is right! Watch the "low ends" (bass ect)
even though you can't feel the pain...it is very easy
to damage your hearing, because the low ends of the
sound spectrum don't cause immediate pain-like too
much high end...Jade
