Old Pictures

2003-04-11 by oldguydrummer

I have just uploaded old photos of my Phase II drum kit to the photos
section. I will post my Phase III set when completed in a week or so.
It is kinda cramped in corner but some space is better than none.

Oldguy, I love your setup! Today I'm going to post some new pics of
my set because I added a bell pad and two more TP65. Its not as big
as yours but I wanna get there! Just a couple of questions! What
is that tom on the very right side, standing vertical, used for?
Also, what do you use your two dual zone cymbal pads, besides the
ride cymbal, for? Thanks, and keep adding to the set!!

Thank you!

I was right!!!!! I knew that one of the first questions would be.."What's
that vertical pad on the right for??"..............a GONG. When I was in my
early twenties I had small gong and I thought it would be a nice touch to
have one now and make mount it vertically.

Actually there are five dual zone cymbals (2xPCY65S and 3xPCY80S with the
other being 2xPCY65)
Going from left to right:
PCY65S - HiHat on left bottom
PCY80S - Crash on left top
PCY65 - Second hi-hat
PCY80S - Splash
PCY65S - Hvy Ride (w/PCY10 bell)
PCY65 - Sizzle
PCY80S - China

There six TP65 that are tom1 through tom6.
The TP65 above the left Hihat is a cowbell.
The TP65S above the tom1/2 is a second snare (piccolo)
The TP65 vertically on right is a gong.
The TP65S in center bottom is "wood snare".

As far as adding more, my Phase III set now has three more PCY65s, one BP80,
four PCY10 and a third DTXpressII module.

Although I love this electronic set, there are times when I still wish I had
my acoustics set, which was the same size.
