Don't know if you've read my response to Ed on three zone issue, but here's
a quick summary:
As far as the three-zone issue, I have noticed on some websites this has
been advertised (I believe falsely) but here are some direct quotes from the
DTXpressII manual:
"TRIGGER INPUT JACK (1 KICK-8HI HAT)
Inputs 1-8 are compatible with switch type pads while
inputs 2,6, and 7 are compatiable with 3-zone type pads."
"Trigger input jacks are all stereo input type jacks."
"It is possible to connect 3-zone type pads like the tp65S to
trigger input jacks 2 snare, 6 ride, and 7 crash"
"Trigger Inputs 1-8 (stereo phone jack-> L:trigger input, R:rim switch)"
"Trigger Inputs 9/10 (stereo phone jack -> L,R:trigger input"
"When the TP65S/sp is connected to input 2/6/7, its 3-zone function is
available
(pad X 1, rim sound X 2). If the pad is connected to any other input, the
rim
will produce only one sound."
So the three zone Pad TP65S won't produce three sounds on zones 1, 3,4,5,
but only on 2,6,7.
I am going to try a assortment of pad types this weekend to see if that
makes difference.
