If you are minded to watch drumming DVDs, you should check out a
Japanese guy named Akira Jimbo. He mixes DTX and acoustic components
(from Yamaha, naturally!) to brilliant effect. In fact, we know he's
beta-testing Yamaha's new sampler-based top-end module, the
DTXtreme. "Fujiyama" is probably the best one to check out.

You'll find a video clip you really should watch. Made me weep
openly. (Until I saw the clip of Tony Royster Jr aged 12, and that
one made me contemplate burning the kit and ending it all).

Someone else who mixes acoustic and Yamaha electronics is Tony
Verderosa, but he's in a rather different vein. You may have seen
him on the recent "Twix" commercials.
